Professional Career Training Opportunities

Urban Circle is looking for Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, Inuit, Status/Non-Status) applicants who are willing to commit to quality training that will lead to meaningful employment and is accepting applications for:

1.  ADULT EDUCATION & EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM - Apprenticeship Stream

This 6 month (January 15, 2018 – June 23, 2018) training program is delivered in partnership with the MB Adult Learning & Literacy and Seven Oaks School Division.  This program will allow you to obtain a Mature Grade 12 Diploma and prepare you for employment or to continue into post-secondary education trades apprenticeship.  There are excellent employment and post-secondary opportunities!

2nd Application Deadline: Monday, October 2, 2017

3rd Application Deadline: Tuesday, November 28, 2017

Final Application Deadline:  Friday, December 8, 2017

 

2. FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER/FASD PROGRAM

This 11 month (January 22, 2018 – December 14, 2018) training program is dually-certified by Red River College and is delivered in partnership with Neighbourhoods Alive! There are excellent employment opportunities upon completion of the program.  This course is a “stepping stone” into social work field. Unique learning environment! Twenty-two seats for tuition costs are provided by our program funder. There is opportunity for individual tuition seat purchases!
